Pair of George III Sterling Silver Candlesticks, Sheffield, 1782-83, John Winter & Co. (John Winter, John Parsons, and Charles Hall), maker, each columnar, with weighted base, ht. 11 5/8 in. Estimate $400-600 Each with scattered pinprick dents and abrasions to particularly to base and with small dent along sconce. One with dent to one corner. The other with split to corner seam, resin in base loose (rattles, wood base lifting), and lifting to one side of joint between stem and joint causing the stick to sit slightly crooked. Bobeches with standard and maker's mark.
