Five-piece Victorian Sterling Silver Tea and Coffee Service, London, 1889-90, Edwin Charles Purdie, maker, each with rocaille scrolls and flowers centering an engraved cartouche, comprised of a kettle-on-stand with burner, teapot, coffeepot, sugar, and creamer, together with a Tiffany sterling silver waste bowl, c. 1895, made to match the existing set, kettle-on-stand ht. 16 5/8 in., approx. 189.4 troy oz. total. Estimate $2,000-4,000 In good overall condition with only very light surface wear, decoration still quite crisp. Bird finial to teapot and coffeepot with wings bent slightly. One foot to kettle stand bent very slightly (unobtrusive, wobbles a little).
