Italian . 800 Silver Center Bowl and Stand, Milan, second quarter 20th century, registry number 245 for Le Argenterie di Milano di Fiorentini Guido, maker, with two scrolled acanthus-capped handles and a lobed body with two mermaids perched on either side, lg. 29, approx. 292.8 troy oz., on a lobed base with inset onyx base, lg. 24 in. Estimate $3,000-5,000 In good overall condition with light surface wear, few minor pinprick dents and abrasions. Onyx with several small chips to edge were brackets hold panel in place.
