Five German Tin-glazed Earthenware Steins, late 18th/19th century, each with hinged lid, auricular handle, and polychrome decoration, four cylindrical, ht. 9 to 10 3/4, and one globular, inscribed "1789" to body, ht. 10 1/4 in. Estimate $300-400 Stein with deer: Handle with large break at top rim and to bottom terminal. Light blue ground stein: In very good condition Dated 1789 stein: Allover crazed. Manganese and blue stein: Two sizable vertical hairlines to base. Floral stein: several rim chips; Heavy glaze loss to handle with discolored repaint.
