Structurally sound.
Paint has been updated at one point in chair's history. Lower areas of feet exhibit fading to lacquer coat. Front right edge shows a series of six small impressions, with two small impressions also visible to front edge of seating. Minor discoloration visible to yellow areas of example, with faint drip marks to reverse of backrest. Chair shows in very good vintage condition. Accompanying poster was folded and stored for some time, showing in vintage condition.
Signed with applied paper distributor's label to underside: [Van Gend & Loos Afd. Uityoer Datum Van Verzending 27 Nov]. Sold with a brochure printed in conjuction with a 1959 exhibition of Rietveld's designs at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam.
