Overall good condition.
Each example has been cleaned while preserving older wear. Wood shows assorted wear and small areas of filler commensurate with public use over time. . Rubbing and loss to finish as seen in the catalogue illustration. The two chairs appear to be a matched pair, as there is a subtle difference of 3/4 inch in the overall width. One chair with a shallow loss to the proper right front leg measuring 1 x 1 ½ inch. This is a minor loss and is visible in the catalogue illustration to the chair positioned on the right. Caning and cushions appear later and executed in a manner consistent with the original design.
