$1,653,000
Excellent original condition.
The table shows signs of gentle use and its current condition demonstrates the considerable care and attention of its prior owners. The marble top with gentle surface wear and one older area of white house paint to the edge of the marble top, measuring one inch in length. With one old minor chip to the underside of the marble top, visible only on close inspection. The base with some light surface abrasions, rubbing, scratches and an attractive patina consistent with age and gentle use. Stable separation of wood grains to the legs consistent with the natural process of the material. All elements of the table are original to the time of production, including the inset central bowl. Bowl measures: 20.25 w x 14.5 d x 3.75 h inches. A true masterwork of Noguchi artistry with a richly documented history through the photography of Milton Greene, for whom the table was made.
