Italian, 20th century. Louis XV style carved and painted wood mantel surround with serpentine top above carved shell crest surrounded by floral springs and scrolling, stiles with scrolling an acanthus leaves on canted corners. Overall with beige to cream rustic painted finish. Back side with black stenciled "MADE IN ITALY" and "No. 343". Approximate height 47.5", width 57", depth 8.75".
