Robert Payton Reid (British, 1859-1945). "In The Pass of Achray with Ben Venue", oil on Rathbone Canvas Board, signed lower right "R. Payton Reid ARSA". Small painting in Reid's iconic impressionist style, likely painted en plein air, depicting the freshwater Loch Achray in Scotland with the mountain named Ben Venue rising up behind a waterfall which is surrounded by Autumnal trees, the small waterfall at center cascading down into the calm, rocky Loch under swirling clouded blue skies. Label to verso of board noting name and maker of product. Framed approximately 18.125" x 14.125", unframed approximately 9.875" x 13.875".
