Meissen (German, 1947-1973) porcelain lidded soup tureen or serving dish of oblong from with gilt accented leaf form handles on sides of body and swirling foliate gilt accented finial on domed lid, exterior of top and bottom of tureen with hand painted floral sprigs. Marked on bottom with blue crossed blue swords mark for Meissen and dates given above. Approximate height 10.25", width 15.25", depth 9.75".
