Continental School, 19th century. Walnut and satinwood inlaid jardiniere, possibly salesman sample, of rectangular form with grey, white and tan veined square marble top (for use as small stand or accent table) that removes to reveal space in interior for plant liner. Jardiniere with inlaid checkered border and, brass drop ring handles on sides, fluted stiles in corners above tapered legs terminating on brass feet. Short pull out drawer at front with brass knob pull. Jardiniere missing original liner. Approximate height 19". Top measures approximately 11.25" square.
