Tile: excellent condition.
Postcard: tear/fold to lower right corner, deep crease/fold from right to left across top. A couple of minor stains to recto, time-toning and minor staining to verso.
Meyer was a professional potter who was in charge of throwing all pieces at Newcomb for thirty years from 1896 through 1927. He had helped to build the kilns and was a greatly admired figure during his tenure. Postcard measures: 6 h x 4 w inches. Incised signature to verso of tile ‘LN NC’.
