Overall good vintage condition.
Light to moderate cleaning to original patina on ashtray, inkwell, rocker blotter, and pen tray. Lamp base: overall very good condition, enamel intact, some minor losses to original patina, a couple of minor scuffs/scratches to body, three cracks and a few scratches to wood base. Ash tray: a couple of small dents, poorly executed repair to one flange of the match-holder, losses to enamel on one feather, a few small holes/losses to cigarette holders (one has broken weld under rim and is slightly loose). Inkwell: missing original liner, one dent to side of lid, a few scratches around base. Rocker blotter: one minor dent to side, base slightly flattened (likely from use). Pen tray: some light wear and oxidation to interior bottom. Blotter: original hardboard has scattered paint remnants and a few stains and scratches, losses to enamel on three feathers. Associated leather clipboard that sits on top of blotter likely a later addition.
Set is comprised of a table lamp base, blotter with blotter ends, rocker blotter, inkwell, pen tray, and an ashtray and matchbox holder. Lamp base measures: 8.5 dia x 18 h inches (including socket). Incised signature and date to underside of pen tray and interior of inkwell lid ‘Harry Dixon San Francisco 1923’.
