Visible in raking light, moderate shallow dents to work area at front of desk. Some scattered deeper and longer dents to far left corner. Several naturally occurring and stable cracks, mostly around butterflies. One additional natural crack to outside edge running through the thickness of top, around 1.5 inches long. Drawers are clean and in good working condition. Good overall condition. Please note this work may require the buyer to obtain a CITES permit to export out of the United States.
Desk features a dramatic figured burl top with three rosewood butterflies, knots, and natural fissures. Three drawers, one containing file storage. Signed, dated and inscribed to underside ‘With Love to Bob and Skippy, Mira Nakashima May 13, 2009’. Sold with a digital copy of the original drawing.
