Édouard Vuillard (French, 1868-1940) Sketchbook Page of Interior with Foreground Wine Bottle Stamped "E. V" l.r. Pencil on paper, 8 1/2 x 5 3/16 in. (21.5 x 13.0 cm), framed. Condition: Minor toning and rippling, sheet with perforated left edge, affixed to a supporting sheet at intervals along the left side and the center top on the reverse. Provenance: The estate of Elaine Sargent, New York. N.B. This drawing was examined by the comité VUILLARD on May 9, 2017 using high resolution photographs, and the comité will include it in the supplement to the Vuillard catalogue raisonne with the notation "Opinion issued on photographs."
