Three large folio volumes, containing thousands of original drawings, clippings from books, magazines, newspapers, and other publications, photographs of Kittinger production furniture and that of competitive firms, and historic pieces, along with details of date, measurements, etc., including original Kittinger photographs with model numbers and the original sketches of Kittinger furniture designers, and blueprint style white-on-black measured renderings of period furniture made by photomechanical reproduction; each volume approximately 2 1/2 in. thick, 17 1/2 x 11 in. The Kittinger Company is an American maker of traditional colonial reproduction furniture originally founded in 1866 that specializes in high-quality period reproduction of colonial American furniture. Their furniture can be found in the White House, and is the reproduction manufacturer for Colonial Williamsburg.
