Moore, Thomas (1779-1852) Two Autograph Letters Signed, 1824 and 1825. The first letter, single leaf inscribed on one page, dated 8 November 1824, to an unknown addressee, mentions Byron, "the whole account of my first [?] with Lord Byron being incorrect. Indeed his entire book is a series of lies "at random strung" upon a slender thread of truth"; the second letter, written on a quarto-format wove bifolium with self-envelope, address panel intact, to longtime friend and London publisher, Owen Rees (1770-1837), concerning a trip to visit Sir Walter Scott, and the subject of a projected publication, Life of Scott , perhaps under the patronage of Lord Lansdowne (1780-1863) and other news.
