Likely English, Late 18th/Early 19th century. A pair of George IV period (circa 1790-1820) mahogany wood side chairs, each comprising a cyma curved crest surmounting curved stiles and a pierced splat comprising a central Neoclassical urn motif surmounting a cove molded shoe, the trapezoidal seat with likely original rose damask upholstery, resting on tapered front legs and raking back legs, joined by an H-shaped stretcher. Approximate height 37.5", width 22", depth 18.25", seat to floor 18". Provenance: From the Estate of Henry G. Muecke Jr., Atlanta, Georgia.
