Mappin and Webb (English, founded 1775). Silver and glass covered biscuit or cracker jar, the silver top with flat handle stamped to the underside "Triple Deposit, Mappin and Webb's, Prince's plate, London and Sheffield" over a silver collar mounted to the neck with curved handle, the circular body with colorless acid-etched texture ground cut with grape leaves with enameled and clear orange-brown grape clusters. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 5.6". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
