(American, 1922-1981) Early Morning Yellow, 1959 oil on canvas signed Kimber Smith, titled and dated (verso) 39 1/4 x 39 1/4 inches. Provenance: Peridot Gallery, New York There is surface dirt; dry cracking in the upper left quadrant and in the lower half; slight gathering of the canvas in the upper left and bottom corners; an approximatley 1 x 3 inch area of craquelure in the yellow at the center; otherwise this work appears to be in overall basic stable condition. Framed: 40 x 40 inches.
