Diego Rivera (Mexico, 1886-1957) pastel and carbon on paper mural study depicting Mexican natives carrying rolled jute (yute) with a snake scene, signed "Diego Rivera" to the lower right hand side of the image. Framed and matted under plexiglass. Wooden frame measures 22" in height by 25-1/2" in width with the sight image measuring 15-1/2" in height by 19-1/2" in width. All measurements are approximate. This piece includes a Certificate of Authenticity from the artist attesting that the piece was completed in 1944; the COA is signed "Diego Rivera" and dated March 16, 1955. For more information regarding this artist, please refer to lot #25 in this catalog. It is our recommendation that all pieces be examined in person either by perspective clients or a dealer the client has asked to give them a condition report.
