Gilt Ormolu-mounted Mantel Clock by Dieudonne Kinable, France, c. 1800, finely rendered cherub clasping a torch in one hand while being drawn on a chariot by two engraved butterflies sit atop the ormolu mounted case, engine-turned bezel enclosing the 4-in. roman numeral convex porcelain dial marked Kinable Palais Royale N. 131 , lower frieze depicting a maiden resting in her chamber, lavish ormolu mounts of dragoons, greyhounds, and urns affixed throughout the base, eight-day time and count wheel strike mechanism with silk thread suspension, ht. 18 in. Note: Dieudonne Kinable is listed as working at the Galerie de Palais Royale between 1794 and 1830.
