Astronomical Dial Fusee Skeleton Timepiece, probably Liverpool, c. 1840, silvered dial configuration of minutes in the outer arabic numeral chapter ring, roman hours in the lower and arabic seconds in the upper subsidiary dials, tall gothic architectural brass plates with central pierced spire and four outer barbed finials all on eight turned triangular risers, chain fusee time-only movement with delicate four-spoke wheel work, very large escape wheel and deadbeat pallets spanning twenty teeth or almost 6 cm, the 10 1/2-in. rear-hung pendulum showing seconds on the upper subsidiary dial, rosewood veneered pedestal with black felt overlay all under a glass dome, ht. 17 1/2 in.
