Walnut Tall Clock Attributed to Jonathan Mulliken, Newburyport, Massachusetts, c. 1770, turned wood flame finial centers the gilt-painted quatrefoil pinwheels adorning the swan's neck hood, freestanding columns with gilt-decorated capitals flank the composite brass dial, strike/silent indicator in the arch, roman numeral chapter ring, matted center, seconds bit, and calendar aperture, double serpentine decorated full-length door, flat panel base with ogee bracket feet, eight-day time and hour strike mechanism, regulated by a strap iron pendulum rod, and two brass-cased weights, ht. 93 in.
