American School, 19th Century Views in California Album , including twelve photographs of Yosemite, c. 1876. Titled below the images, inscribed to "Daniel Rees. from his Brother William. November 14th. 1876." at the beginning of the album. Albumen silver prints mounted to board, image/sheet sizes to 7 1/8 x 8 1/2 in. Condition: Fading, subtle discoloration at sheet edges, one image with chemical spots. Provenance: Property from the collection of Harvey Shipley Miller, proceeds to benefit the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
