Framed Portrait Miniature of Reverend Richard Mansfield, 18th century, pen and ink wash on paper of a man dressed in black robe with white cravat, framed with a 1769 receipt signed by Mansfield, and a 19th century albumen photograph of his house, (imperfections), portrait ht. 3 1/2 in. Note: Reverend Richard Mansfield (1724-1820) was the first resident Church of England minister in Derby, Connecticut. He served as rector of the church for seventy-two years, the longest served by a minister in the United States.
