Italian or Russian School, Mid-20th Century Expressionist-style Painting of a Fashionably Dressed Group . Unsigned, inscribed in Russian on the reverse. Oil on artist board, 15 5/8 x 19 5/8 in., unframed. Condition: Tack holes to each corner, wear to the edges of the board. N.B. The inscription on the reverse, beneath the numbers, appears to be inscribed in Russian: "Nana Maraneyi (or Marinelli?)/from the author M. Ma..." It has been suggested that the artist might be Mario Marinelli (Italian, b. 1906).
