1916 oil on canvas 64 x 104 cm (25 1/4 x 41 in. ) signed and dated lower right PROVENANCE Acquired from the descendants of Richard Zommer`s previous landlords and family friends in Georgia. LOT NOTES Between 1913 and 1917 the family of the present owners shared their home with Richard Zommer and his wife, maintaining a relationship with the artist until 1938, shortly before Zommer`s arrest. Please see the 1917 photograph of the mother of the present owner together with Richard Zommer. A copy of the letter from the descendant of the family is available upon request.
