the Virgin Mary is depicted in the center of the icon, lying next to the Divine Child, on her right side the Magi are shown with their gifts, the shepherds attending the Mother of God are shown on the left, the angels and the Bethlehem Star are depicted above them. In the lower left part of the composition situated the scene with Saint Joseph and the Old Man dressed in furs standing before him. The lower right part depicts the scene of the Dripping of Water on the Divine Child. Egg tempera, gold leaf and gesso on wood panel. Two insert splints on the back. 31 x 25.5 cm (12 1/4 x 10 in.)
