Laid in is a 4pp. brochure from the Book-of-the-Month Club reprinting their announcement for this book. 8vo, original cloth with dramatic silver stamping. Dust jacket nicked; torn at flaps. Property from the Estate of Joel Scarborough, Payson, Illinois The BOMC version is not listed in Tanselle's CHECKLIST OF THE EDITIONS OF MOBY-DICK 1851-1976, see no. 18. The booklet indicates that this copy is one of the BOMC copies, which is a mirror-image of the Random House. with the possible exeption of no headbands; no BOMC indentation at rear. Scarce thus.
