A land grant to Matthias Ollis, of Indiana, on February 20th, 1827, with the official seal. Signed ("J. Q. Adams") in his concise manner. Broadside. Many folds and wrinkles; chipped at left margin; fading inks. Framed 19 x 31 1/2 inches. Arguably John Adams is better-known in the 21st century for his role in the film, "Amistad", about the slave rebellion, after his Presidency, than for his term.
