Manuscript, Eulogy of Abraham Lincoln, written by historian Judge Edward E. Bourne, of Kennebunk, Maine. 34pp. On stationery embossed with the Union shield and stars at upper left corner. Sewn at left margin with cloth tape, minor wear to right margins. Provenance: Owned by John E. Burton and purchased by John S. Little at auction in 1915 for $21.00. Original receipt from auction included. Judge Bourne was also President of the Maine Historical Society. The record suggests that this eulogy has never been published. With related documents, and a photostat of a letter Bourne wrote to Pres. Lincoln in 1863.
