This work commemorates the completion of the Eads Bridge, which was built from 1868 to 1874. The bridge spanned the Mississippi River at St. Louis. It was the world's first steel arch bridge as well as the first bridge to connect St. Louis to Illinois, allowing access for the railroads and other freights. Sight: 9 1/2 x 13 3/4 inches.
