(American 1852-1941) Morning Glow of the Mid-night Sun - Mt. Fairweather, Alaska, 1897 oil on canvas signed J. E. Stuart and dated (lower right) 29 1/2 x 17 1/2 inches. Property from the Estate of Gwendolyn K. Hill, Kansas City, Missouri This painting is framed behind glass. It has been removed from the frame for closer inspection, and appears to be in nice condition, with no indication of restoration. There is little pigment loss due to frame rubbing along the extreme edge, but otherwise nice. Additional photographs available upon request.
