second half 19th century having an octagonal top above a spindled frieze spaced with painted panels of birds, set on turned supports joined to a quadripartite base centered with an urn form finial and ending in splayed legs with casters. Height 28 x width 41 1/2 inches. Provenance: Portals Gallery, Chicago, Illinois Good, stable condition overall. Top with minor scratches, dents and several tight age cracks spreading from one edge. Scattered frets and minor chips to the molded edge of the top. Surface wear to the gilt highlights. Light surface scratches, nicks and minor scuffs to the legs. Each stretcher with one or two nicks, each of which are white in color.
