(English or French, 18th Century) Portrait of a Girl oil on canvas 18 1/4 14 inches. Property from the Estate of Marlene Nasreddine, Miami, Florida Tear to the canvas (approximately 2 3/8 inches in length) in the upper-left register of the canvas just above the subject's head. Craquelure throughout, with scattered associated instances of flaking to the paint. Hole to the lower register of the canvas on the bodice of the dress approximately 1/4 inch in diameter. Minor area of loss to the paint on the upper register where the canvas shows through. Patch to the reverse that corresponds to the area under the sleeve of the girl's proper-left arm that is approximately 7/8 inch x 1 1/4 inches in size. Examination under UV light reveals four minor areas of retouch.
