(15th Century) Christ in the Tomb with Angels egg tempera, oil and gold leaf on gesso ground 28 3/4 x 21 inches. Property from the Estate of Marlene Nasreddine, Miami, Florida Age split spanning the central horizontal plane. Scattered areas of minor to moderate loss to the paint layer, exposing the underlying gesso. Craquelure to the paint, particularly visible on the raised halos. Examination under UV reveals minor areas of fluorescence throughout. Back is reinforced with two vertical planks and was likely painted. Holes visible on reverse from previous hardware elements. Country of origin is unknown.
