19th century the handled urn form case inset with a circular dial having Roman numeral hours and flanked by Cupid digging, raised on a shaped oval base decorated to show cherubs gardening, together with a pair of similarly decorated urns, each raised on a stepped square plinth, the clock movement striking on a bell. Height 13 x width 11 1/2 x depth 4 3/4 inches. In good, stable condition overall. Light to moderate surface scratches throughout consistent with age. Instances of surface wear and minor areas of loss to the two winds of the dial. The central urn and flanking elements of the clock have a bright, fairly even finish, while the shaped oval base has a slightly dull patina. The figure of Cupid digging is slightly loose from the base. The urns show areas of minor to moderate oxidation. Clock works appear basically complete but lacking pendulum. Pendulum arm is detached put present. Both springs take a wind. Clock hands turn freely. Clock strikes on the hour and the half. Works seem to run but unable to determine duration or accuracy of movement.
