18th/19th century each having a straight crest rail above the padded back, padded arms and a stuffover seat, raised on fluted cylindrical tapering legs. Height 33 7/8 inches. Provenance: Property from the Estate of William Nicholas Roos, New York, NY Leslie Hindman Auctioneers, December 5, 2010, Lot 71 Each in good, stable condition overall consistent with age and use. Each with instances of discoloration and minor stains to the stuffover seat; one example with more significant stains to the front of the seat than the other. Each with minor areas of surface wear and loss to the painted decoration. Light surface wear in the form of scratches, nicks and scuffs to the legs and feet consistent with age and use.
