19th century of shaped rectangular form, the hinged top centered with an oval reserve painted to depict two children fishing along a river and opening to a vacant interior. Height 3 3/4 x width 5 1/4 inches. In good condition. Glass intact without chips, cracks or repairs, decoration to top likewise intact. Brass mounts all present, having some discoloration to bright finish. Box with lock, no key. Additional images available upon request.
