containing 117 melon form carved emerald beads measuring approximately 4. 57-12.43 mm in diameter strung with staggered knotting and joined with a yellow gold circular clasp. Emerald Characteristics (graded in setting) It is the opinion of the gemologist (Eblen) that the emeralds in this necklace have internal characteristics consistent with natural emerald. A random sample of the necklace was examined microscopically and all of the beads reviewed showed, in the gemologist's opinion, characteristic (elongated sharply angular three-phase) inclusions consistent with emerald with a geographic origin of Colombia.
