Circa 1940 Art Deco four drawer dresser designed by Gilbert Rohde for Herman Miller with an Ash burl and black walnut design and having a custom glass top; measures approximately 36" high, 43" wide and 19" in depth. Marked with The Herman Miller Furniture Co. paper tag to the back and stamped "3626" to the back. Gilbert Rohde (1894–1944), whose career as a furniture and industrial designer helped to define American modernism during its first phase from the late 1920s to World War II, is best known today for inaugurating modern design at Herman Miller Inc. In overall good condition.
