Large Jardiniere with Dragons, China, Ming dynasty style, short barrel shape with band rim, the exterior decorated with a reverse-painted dragon-and-cloud design in iron red overglaze against a underglazed yellow ground, a foliate scroll band around rim, the flat base with chatter mark and wiped glaze, six-character Jiajing mark in a rectangular cartouche to one side, ht. 10 1/2, rim dia. 18 1/4 in.
