Sixteen Textile Fragments, China, 19th/20th century, three roundels, two with floral motifs, and one depicting a lady in a garden; four square, three depicting various birds, flowers and insects, one with a geometric pattern; nine rectangular, four embroidered with scenes of ladies in gardens, two embroidered with arrangements of scholarly and precious objects, one with butterflies and peonies, one with trees and dwellings, one with figures between intricate knot-work, all embroidered in various stitches including satin and seed stitch, size to 25 3/4 x 13 1/2 in.
