Small Painted Wood Shrine, Tibetan China, 19th/20th century, near square, with a sliding cover with a shaped opening bordered with a foliate scroll band painted in gold, the inside panel depicting an eleven-headed eight-armed Avalokitesvara standing on a lotus stand against a flamed halo, accompanied with four seated divinities in floral roundels to four corners, all against a green landscape, a carved rectangular mortise to base, of 10 x 9 x 2 3/8 in.
