Chinese, early 20th century. A set of two Kangxi Period style deep porcelain plates comprising of a larger plate decorated with bands of diaper pattern, floral motif, stylized bats, and scroll pattern surrounding a central medallion decorated with a crane standing beside flowers and lotus pod, with exterior decoration around base of cobalt blue and gilt leaf tips topped by a swags of red flowers and scrolls, with a band of rice grain behind, Kangxi period mark on bottom, 7.25" diameter x 1.25" deep; and a smaller plate with similar all over design excepting an inner medallion depicting a phoenix, Kangxi period mark on bottom, 5.25" diameter x 1" deep.
