Chinese, Qing Dynasty Yongzheng Period mark (1722-1735), 20th century possibly earlier. A porcelain lidded box of cushion form with ruffled edge with cobalt decoration on gray ground decorated with a band of cloud scrolls to ruffle, the exterior of lower half decorated on tondo with figures set within a landscape, the interior of the basin with a father and son standing in front of a rocky formation, the round lid with seated male figures at each pole flanking a round finial. Marked to underside with blue underglaze Yongzheng imperial reign mark. Overall approximately 3" tall, 5.125" diameter.
