Richard Volpe (America, B. 1926) framed and double matted lithograph under glass depicting a winter landscape scene. Artist signature in pencil to lower right, and also titled & numbered in pencil to lower left and middle. Wooden frame measures 28-5/16" in height by 37-13/16" in width with the sight image measuring 20-3/4" in height by 30-1/4" in width. All measurements are approximate. Richard Volpe is an American printmaker, painter, playwright and author. Born in Pennsylvania, he studied art at Ohio Wesleyan, Denver University, the University of New Mexico, and University of Nevada. Volpe's first etching came in 1965. Since that time a stream of images, often in an intaglio on lucite process, have been the subject numerous one man exhibitions. His subjects range from animals to landscapes.
