Rare Bucks County, Pennsylvania Chippendale cherry tall case clock, ca. 1784 , the broken arch bonnet with carved rosettes enclosing an eight-day works with a silvered dial face, inscribed with the owners name, Wm. Smith 1784 , and signed by the maker, Aseph Warner , over a case with fluted quarter columns and ogee bracket feet, 98 1/2” h. Provenance: This clock was originally purchased by William Smith Jr. in 1784. It descended directly in the Smith family of Windy Bush Hill in Upper Makefield until purchased by the present owner, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
