Chinese, Republic Period (1912-1949), circa 1920s. A set of five carved jade seals, possibly for use in a goverment office or pawn shop, housed in a carved jade box, each cylindrical seal with a four Chinese character mark to one end, the box with Chinese calligraphic marks to each side and the lid inscribed "The United State" over crossed flags and five calligraphic marks. Box approximate height 3.25", width 4.375", depth 3.375". Each seal approximate height 2.375".
